Clean Truck Check

The Clean Truck Check program seeks to further reduce emissions from diesel vehicles operating within California. Previously called the Heavy-Duty Inspection and Maintenance Program, it focuses on ensuring that heavy-duty vehicles such as trucks, buses, and motorhomes are operating cleanly and efficiently. A significant distinction is that the Clean Truck Check applies to all trucks driving in the state, not just those registered in California.

TRUCRS Systems

The TRUCRS (Truck Regulation Upload, Compliance, and Reporting System) is a California Air Resources Board system that allows fleet owners to report and manage their vehicle compliance. It ensures that trucks and buses meet state emissions standards and regulatory requirements efficiently.

Our Clean Truck Check Procedure Steps

Step 1: Truck Preconditioning
Your truck should be warmed up under load for at least 15 minutes to ensure accurate testing conditions. This is confirmed by monitoring water and oil temperature gauges.

Step 2: Truck Safety Inspection
Your vehicle will undergo a safety inspection and preparation for testing, which includes checking for exhaust leaks to avoid inaccurate test outcomes.

Step 3: Equipment Calibration
Ambient air is measured, and correction factors are calculated. Calibration and set-up are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and procedures.

Step 4: Testing & Validation
Cycle testing is performed and validated by ensuring zero shift deviation and 3-cycle average opacity and density are within set criteria. If standards aren’t met, previous steps are reviewed, and the test is repeated.
